Better at Home is a government-funded program that aims to provide non-medical home support to seniors, enabling them to live independently in their own homes. Our services help seniors maintain their independence and stay connected to the community. Services are provided to seniors living in the Sik-E-Dakh community (Glen Vowell, B.C.).

We are funded by the B.C. Ministry of Health and managed by the United Way of the Lower Mainland. Seniors who receive our services may pay a fee based on their income, which is determined on an individual basis using a sliding subsidy scale to eliminate financial barriers.

Our Services:

Are provided by paid staff, volunteers and contractors, all of who have successfully completed a criminal record check.

How it works:

This program is available for seniors age 65+ who live independently.  A client intake will be completed by our Better at Home coordinator to asses how the program will benefit them. Please contact us for more information or to have an intake scheduled.
